Antonio Permuy, president of The Collection and Big Talk on campus along with the Anthropology Club, hosted the 2019 Student Art Exhibition for University of South Florida St. Petersburg students. The event was held for students to be able to express themselves creatively through whichever art medium they pleased.
While many artists came from the graphic design program, the Poetry Club also joined in to show their art through a clothes-pin line of short poems hung up around their peer’s artwork. Earlier this semester, the Poetry Club won the “New Student Organization of the Year” Rocky’s Award. President Giovanna Cano shares when she started writing and some of her inspirations in the video below.
Hannah Knauf, Grace Stockdale, and Brandon Santiago were just some of the artists who shared their work with USFSP Thursday night. Antonio Permuy explained how he wanted this event to be for all people to tap into their creative potential. With beautiful artwork scattered around the Edge, many people stopped in to show support and admiration for their peers work.
