Food has long been an important part of the Jewish culture, and last Sunday Temple B’nai Israel invited the community members to be a part of that culture.
Despite the hot weather, hundreds of residents came out to experience authentic Jewish food and buy from local businesses.
The Jewish Food Festival was created to encourage non-Jewish members of the community to learn about Jewish culture and food. Temple B’nai Israel also wants the community to make connections with local Jewish businesses.
Admission was free, but the temple asked for those who attended to bring non-perishable goods to donate.
The date for the next festival has not yet been announced. Temple B’nai Israel is located at 1685 S. Belcher Rd.
