Beers, bros and plenty of balls. This is what customers can expect from Jacksonville’s new Ping-Pong themed restaurant SMASH.
Jacksonville is known for its beaches, businesses and artsy districts, but the city has recently opened another unique destination. The new Ping-Pong themed restaurant called SMASH is located near Southside and offers customers dinner and a show.
The restaurant features 11 Ping-Pong tables along with a foosball table, a checkerboard, a chess board and other similar life-size games.
The idea is for guests to play while they eat or wait. However, you shouldn’t be waiting too long as the service is excellent.
As for the food, it’s decent but nothing to write home about, but one visits SMASH simply for the experience. The majority of their menu is American food with the main entrees being a selection of sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads and salads.
However, the most suggested food item was the shrimp tacos, which you can order grilled or fried and topped with pico de gallo, sour cream, cabbage slaw, guacamole and queso fresco. The restaurant also offers different daily food and drink specials, which is a great bonus.
Overall, the SMASH experience is not to be missed. Their Ping-Pong tables can be rented by the hour and private rooms can be reserved for large parties or special events. Customers can also enjoy two full bars and a whopping total of 24 flat screen TVs. Overall, Jacksonville’s new restaurant is 13,000 square feet of pure fun.
