This holiday season, you won’t have to travel far to find the perfect Christmas gift, especially when everything can be found in downtown St. Pete. Shopping for gifts can become expensive and tedious, it’s no wonder people wait until the last minute to cross everyone off their Christmas list. However, we are lucky enough to live in a city where small businesses have so much to offer for everyone in your family.

1. Let’s brew this

Intermezzo’s blends are strong and smooth. St. Pete is a coffee hub, so the gift of a good cup joe will be perfect for Christmas morning. They currently are selling beans from Honduras and Kenya that were roasted in Brooklyn, New York. On the days you can’t stop in for a cup, you can brew it right at home. Intermezzo is located at 1111 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33705.

2. Write it down

A journal from local stationary business Whim-So-Doodle is great for holding memories. They carry lines like Rifle Paper Co., and Bando as well as hundreds of scrapbooking materials. The owner also has a Labrador named Dug who’s always in the store, so that should be enough incentive for you to stop by. Some journals start at $15. Whim-So-Doodle is located at 237 2nd Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701.

3. Light it up

Ashe Couture on Central Ave. sells tropical scented candles that are absolutely addictive. You can have the smells of summer all year long while being able to choose from a selection of different colors and sizes. Smaller candles start at $22. Try the volcano scented. Ashe Couture is located at 1027 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33705.

4. Let’s jam

Urban Canning Company produces incredible jams, spreads and pickled vegetables. They make the perfect gift for someone who loves being in the kitchen. You can find recipes on their site that go along with their products. Single cans start at $10. Urban Canning Company is located at 1040 4th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33703.

5. Gems and Stoners

Stoned and Charming is local jewelry shop that makes appearances at local markets all throughout St. Pete and Tampa. From rings to necklaces, Stoned and Charming handmakes pieces with charms and stones. The pieces are dainty while simultaneously making a statement. Bracelets start at $9, necklaces at $14. Stoned and Charming’s jewelry can be found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/StonedandCharming

6. Put it on repeat

Give the gift of a new vinyl record from Daddy Kool Records. Their selection ranges from Jazz to Rock, old to new. They’re always selling discounted CDs. You can look at the comics they sell on their shelves along with local zines. You can also buy concert tickets here and beat the fees online. And if you can’t afford anything at the moment, make your own music with the piano that sits right outside the door. Records can range from $30-$100+. Daddy Kool Records is located at 666 Central Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
