Navigating New York: Must-see spots for your quick trip to NYC

Planning to navigate New York? Here are five spots not to be missed even if you’re taking a quick, weekend trip.

  1. Line Friends Store, New York City

Even though Line Friends Store is in the heart of Times Square, many people seem to bypass it. If you’re a fan of anything cute, you’ll have a field day in this store. This store caters in creating and carrying items with characters that are part of the Line Friends Universe. The items range from tech accessories and travel gear to stationery items and stuffed animals. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by the sight of a giant bear, and there’s another cute character waiting to be taken home everywhere you turn. This store has so many Insta-pic opportunities that will make your friends jealous.

  1. Hershey’s Store, New York City

Also in Times Square, this store is a must see. On the corner of 47th Street and Seventh Avenue, Hershey’s Store is a bit secluded from all of the hustle and bustle. Inside the small shop is every Hershey’s product imaginable. A wall of every candy product stands proud ready for endless mix-and-match opportunities. Also inside the store is a Hershey’s Kitchen, which serves as a bakery. Massive cookies chock full of chocolate pieces can be bought, and the iced hot chocolate is incredible.

  1. East River State Park, Brooklyn

Just a short subway or water taxi ride away from Manhattan stands East River State Park. If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature then this place is for you. The park has an incredible view of the skyline that will take your breath away day or night. The area surrounding the park is an up-and-coming city, so I recommend making a day trip out of the park visit to explore the city of Williamsburg as well.

  1. Koreatown, New York City

Exploring all cultures is a must in New York City, and visiting Koreatown gives you a taste of Asian culture. Only a few blocks wide, you feel as if you’ve been transported to Seoul. Countless Korean barbecue restaurants and bakeries line the street with their signs written in both Korean and English. A Koreatown favorite is the Koryo Bookstore, which serves as a K-pop music store as well as a Korean bookstore and gift shop.

New York City is known for its incredible food, and this bakery is no exception. Out of all the bakeries in the area, this place has the best cupcakes. Located on the Upper East Side, you can sit down to eat or, walk around the area and explore. Whether you’re in the mood for an authentic slice of New York cheesecake or feel like indulging in a cupcake, this place is a must visit.
