The female Powder Puff “Pink Out” game was held Sunday on the recreation field from 8-10 p.m.
The rules of powder puff are very similar to that of regular football, except players usually pull flags from the belts of the opposing team instead of tackling. The game is popular in high schools and colleges, and is usually held to raise funds for a charity.
This powder puff game was held to help bring awareness to breast cancer. The white team won and received prizes from the Harborside Activities Board (HAB). HAB Vice-President Kelli Carmack said about 60 people were in attendance.
